[This fascinating and complex transportation map shows the Illinois Traction System, a predecessor to the Illinois Terminal Railroad and affiliate of the Illinois Power & Light Company. Various interurban lines, as well as street railways facilitating resource distribution, are noted throughout using a series of symbols in four different legends.
